    Cool EJC Intro

OK, so I'm a retired Visual Basic programmer & I'm taking a shot at more open platforms i.e. MySQL as a data store, open standard web interface design & Java (of course).

Currently I'm designing accounting software (G/L & reporting modules) with an eye toward expanding the code for specific business models i.e. retail, distribution, manufacturing and service (not necessarily in that order.

16 years experience & education in the accounting & computer science fields.

I have a loonng way to go before I have deliverables for the real world, but I'm very stubborn & will get there.

I hope to become a strong contributor to the forum.

    Best Regards,
