    Default hello

    Hi All,

I'm new to the Java language and OO programming. I understand the fundamental concepts however I lack a lot of the understanding that I need to get what I want done into code.

I do not work as a programmer however I'm currently pursuing a MSCS at a local college mostly because I find the CS classes really interesting and I find that have the knowledge in my back pocket has enable me to automate many processes at my current job.

I'm looking forward to being a member of the community.

    -Jeff

    Hi Jeff,
May I suggest a book titled "Beginning Java Objects" 2nd edition. This book approaches coding from an object modeling viewpoint, rather than just a programming fundamentals viewpoint. I found it very helpful in respect to learning how to convert requirements into code. I hope this is kick-starts you on your journey and I look forward to seeing you on here in the future.
    Regards,
    ~Switcha~
