    Exclamation HELP-WHY THE O/P IS NOT AS DESIRED.???

    i am havin trouble with a rather simple code:

    class ji
    {public static void main(String... s)
     {
     char chsub='k'; //or any other small letter
     System.out.println(chsub);
     if(97<chsub<<122)
           System.out.println("true");
     else
           System.out.println("false");
     }
    }


    why is it dat the o/p comes out as false even though it is true.???

    if(97<chsub<<122)
    Any reason you are bitshifting the char? I think you want chsub to be between two values
    if(97<chsub && chsub < 122)
