    Talking My Idea about this forum...

    Hi, I'm new here.

    I found the reply for my posted question to be slow. If I'm stuck on something, I have to wait a day until I get a reply.

    My suggestion is to make a chatbox on this forum, so everyone can communicate with each other more easily.

    We will eventually have a chat room here but I'm not sure if it will help to get your question answered any quicker.

    What you need to remember is, the people who solve threads are normally professional people who do so on a voluntary basis.
    The speed of replies tends to be dictated by the quality of the thread and the effort put in by the poster to explain their problem.

    There are so many new threads started each day that it takes lots of time and effort to address them all. I practically live on these forums but still can't keep up with it all.

    The fact that you get free, quality advice within 1 day is really good as far as im concerned.

    Feel free to help us improve the response time. By clicking the Unanswered Threads link at the top, you can be the first to answer someones question.

    I took a look at the questions you've asked, and you could do a few things to improve response time (although, a day is not a long time to wait for free help). Check out the link in my signature on asking smart questions, but the gist is to be as specific and technical as possible. Saying "is this right?" is much harder to answer than "here is some runnable code, why does XYZ happen?" Doing things like providing an SSCCE makes it easier for us to help you- as opposed to asking somebody to check over your homework for you.

    Ok. =)
    I usually ask people if I'm on the right track. So, I guess it's ok to ask them to have a quick check on my work.
    I'll try to post more detailed questions and posts.
    Thanks for your tips.

    Sorry, I just posted a question under a section and I notice there is a better section for my type of question.
    So, I posted a question twice...
