How would you read a single JTextField for just one action event?
...do that three times, and depending on the complexity and what code may be repeated, possibly farm the work out to a method that gets called from each action event

    Hello.
Your question seems to be unclear.
As many action events a JTextField object can listen to, you can add those many respective listeners.
