    Default Question for those who are actively working as Entry/Junior programmers

    Sorry if this is in the wrong section please move it to the right one cause i have no idea lol

    this question is for those who are or have recently worked as junior/entry level programmers

    i am about to start some schooling for programming ill post my class list for those of you interested at the bottom of this post

    i am trying to get into a programming career prefer to be a java programmer but im decent in a couple of languages. now my questions are how did you get into your job as a junior programmer and how is your day to day work life? do you just write code all day or do you write code and do 100 other things?

    I'm starting as clean resume in programming as i have no job experience as a programmer i only have experience as a computer repair tech and no schooling...the schooling is changing soon though as i said before

    here is my class list...please feel free to comment or suggest anything

    Required classes

    Introduction to Programming Logic

    then i need 4 of these classes (the 4 i was thinking about taking are marked with **)

    I recommend you go with your interested area.
    Learning a programming language will definitely help you in improving your logical skills..

    Your chosen classes are good to go with except C# Programming, you can go with Server-Side Programming or Advanced Web Page Applications (XML and JavaScript)

    thanks for the suggestion and reply i learned a bit of C# and is pretty much like java so guess i can learn that quickly on my own...guess ill switch it out for server side programming

    C# is much like Java as both are object oriented, In my opinion learning one Object oriented language is enough and extending your expertise into more advance topics of that language will give you so much exposure to real time applications and problems.
