Default Reading and Writing Word Documents

    Hi,

I apologize if this is in the wrong section.
I'm trying to read in and write to a word document, however, I'm not sure how to do so. I'm looking for API's that could help with this. I looked at apahce poi but I'm not sure if it can do what I need it to. The trickiest part is to create links that link to different parts of the word document (I forgot the correct term). If it is not possible to allow for these links, then I can leave them out.

Basically, the program takes in a word document and sorts the information in it. I will attach the file before it has been sorted and then after.

    Thanks

This question doesn't seem to have anything to do with the Java SE classes that do I/O.
I don't know where questions about third part APIs goes.
If you don't understand my answer, don't ignore it, ask a question.

You can use java library for this purpose like Aspose.Words for Java library. This library allows you to create, read, write(to new or existing word doc) and even convert your word file to many other formats.

@zarfishan: A thread that has not been posted in for more than a week or two is dead. Please check the date of the last post in a thread, and don't resurrect dead ones. You might also notice that Esanders, the OP, has posted exactly one post in a year (that number is always current), so will not likely ever see your answer.

    Closing this one.
