    Default MAC of a remote host

    Hi....

    I need java code to find the MAC address of a remote machine by using its IP address. I ned this for my main project Wireless Intrusion Detection System.

    If your using linux, use nmap.
    This lists all IP addresses and Mac addresses of the Given Ip Address

    But Il need more info than that.
    Theres a java command to get host name so im guessing that there will be a command to get MAC address

    Also people aren't just going to give you the code. you will have to try a little bit

    I didn't write this. A quick Google search provides many results. For example:

    import java.net.InetAddress;
    import java.net.NetworkInterface;
     
    public class Main {

        NetworkInterface ni = NetworkInterface.getByInetAddress(address);
