    Default Help with Course Selection

    Moderator I didn't know where to put this post. Sorry

    Hello! I will be attending a vocational college this September and I would like some feedback on my course selection. The mandatory courses are: COMP 1409 Introduction to Software Development 1, COMP 1451 Introduction to Software Development 2, COMP 2831 Systems Analysis and Systems Design. The first 2 course teach OOP with Java as it language we learn using BlueJ. The elective courses are as follows and I need a minimum of 15 credits:

    COMP 2613 Java Application Development = 4 credits
    COMP 2614 .NET Windows Application Development in C# = 4
    COMP 2617 C++ for Object Oriented Software Development 1 = 4
    COMP 2618 C++ for Object Oriented Software Development 2 = 4
    COMP 2832 Agile Software Development with Scrum = 3
    COMP 3912 iOS Application Development for iPhone and iPad = 4

    I was thinking of the first 4 listed classes. If anyone can suggest another course selection I would appreciate it. I want to be an application developer whether its games, utility programs etc. so I dont' know if I would need Agile and I don't intend to develop for iOS as I don't have any Apple products. Thanks for any input.

    if you take java and c++ you could probably learn c# on your own because its very very similar to them

    Thanks you. So I should take the Agile Development with Scrum as the other course that gives me 15 mandatory credits
