Default Code for Plotting 2D graphs

    Hello everyone,
I am sending data to my computer serially/using USB, I want to know if I can use java to collect that data and plot it vs time. I think plotting can be done but I don't know whether I can collect that data or not !!
    Your help will be appreciated.

You can connect Java via USB / serial, but you might need to give up any hope of "Write Once Run Anywhere". I wrote a little helper in Java for a bad oscilloscope I bought once here:
gds2062 - gds2062 - Java utility for commanding Instek GDS-2062 oscilloscope, and viewing sample buffer. - Java utility to communicate with GW Instek GDS-2062 oscilloscope - Google Project Hosting
That was connected via a USB cable but the endpoint appeared as a 'cable modem' I think.
