As poster above says you can buy your domain from another provider and just use there hosting plan, once done you can contact customer support on hostgater who will fully help you point your domain...
I have found a template in which I would like to use, I consulted a web developer from USA who quoted me $400 to change template, integrate whmcs and simple logo design, that price sound ok for that...
