    Cool strong stuff

    Hi all,

    DarkRoast here.
It's been a long time since I last posted on a forum like this.
I started learning programming at 13 (except for a bit of fooling around with quick basic before that), and my main resource at the time were the Sams Teach Yourself books (they're pretty bad), and the good ol' hackers.com (that place was freaking awesome).
I consider myself pretty good at programming. However, I know about different languages/computing concepts but not enough of any to make me an expert.

For the first time now, I am attempting to apply my programming knowledge to see if I can earn a buck or two .

Java happens to be my favourite. My Christmas wish was for Apple to suddenly announce a switch over to java from objective-c. Alas, Santa's letting me down, and right now, my main preoccupation is wrapping my head around that. But I come back to java every chance I get.

    Cheers,
    DR
