Thread: Hello Everyone!

Hello!

My name is Sandi and I just started to learn Java. It is really my first attempt at properly learning a programming language, so I'm both excited and a little overwhelmed. Before Java, I read up a little on C++ and Python, but I never really connected with either of those languages.

I haven't been programming Java long (maybe only a few months), but so far, I really like it! I love learning all of the little nuances about the language. When I first started out, I had a really hard time understanding how to read code I would find, but now, I can understand a good chunk of it. Plus, I'm slowly beginning to pick up terminology, so when I do need help, I'm able to be more self sufficient when looking for an answer.

This is the first programming-specific forum I've ever joined, but from what I've seen so far, I hope that I'll be able to learn a lot from all of the more experienced Java programmers here. It's an honor to be a part of such an amazing community.
