    Default Hello

I'm old and retired, but I remain a very capable, experienced programmer. I am happy to be able finally to write code entirely for entertainment and enjoyment. Java is my favorite of all of the languages. I have written programs in Assembly, Fortran, Algol, Lisp, C, C++, Perl, Python, JavaScript, C#, and other languages whose names have faded from memory. I joined this forum to learn what is current in Java software and, if possible, to give back to the programmer community by helping others with their programming problems and activities.

Welcome. I am probably older and more retired(I retired in 1988)
Not a lot of activity here as you can see.
I enjoy helping with the simpler beginners' problems, but lately there have been questions about problems using some more sophisticated software way past just java programming that I have no experience with. Take a look at some of the current unanswered questions.
If you don't understand my answer, don't ignore it, ask a question.
