    Default Hi Everyone

    Hello Everyone,

I'm Terry from the Pacific Northwest. I've read a few books on java in attempts to teach myself Java, among other languages such as HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT.
I've had to put this on the back burner because of personal family matters. After about 2 years I am now trying to get back into it. I've reread some and have learned there's been quite a few changes. Such as java9 now. I was working with Java 8 and using Netbeans 8.1 as my IDE.
I'm feeling somewhat lost now. Hopefully I will be able to get caught up and get up to speed.

I'm also retired now so I have more time on my hands to study and practice programming and other interests.

Thank you in advance for your help
