    Default New to Java Programming

    Hi everyone,

This is my first post, I've been looking for a community to join to assist in my learning of Java. Here is a little background information about me.

I'm a maths teacher currently working in China and I know when I move back to the USA that teaching jobs are limited. Therefore I'm looking to acquire some additional skills that may help me find additional work.

Additionally, I'm currently running a robotics club for our students using the Lego Mindstorms and am using this as an opportunity to get the kids to begin using computers to do something rather then just play with computers.

I'm currently working on the Stanford CS106a course and when completed I would love some suggestions on where I should go from there. I don't have anything in particular at the moment I need to build but I have some ideas for projects to assist me in programming.
