    Smile Hidy Doo

Glad to find a Java community!! I'm a novice (with a good deal of perl experience - and a retired main frame systems programmer) and every time I come up with a Java question, I find that in searching the web for possible answers, too often it turns out to be a wild goose chase. I'm looking forward to learning more through direct question and answers to real questions...

I found this community near the top of my Google search... so Hello World!

Welcome to the forum. I'm also a retired main frame systems programmer (IBM VM).
