Smile Hello, New to Java Programming

    Hello Every one,

I am new to the whole Java programming.

I've been teaching myself about Java for a few week by reading Java programming for dummies. I was wondering if there are any good course/books/video that I can have a look at?

Or even know of any company willing to take someone on as a trainee?

Thanks for all the help you can give.

Starting out with java, by Tony Gaddis is the best book I have found so far. I learned java from that book and I find it still very useful. Every chapters are pretty much simple and anyone can understand the stuff. Newer editions are expensive. Buy an older edition and try to accomplish each and every project at the end of every chapters. If you could finish the book, you could become more than a intermediate programmer.
