Thread: Howday Jav-udes

Didnt know the collective cool term for Java types so came up with Jav-udes. Hope that doesnt offend anyone, if it does then Jav-off.

Very new to Java and learning every second ATM, its been a while since I done any programming and though I'd give this a go and brush up on my HTML along the way.

So if anyone can suggest a good starting point or book for me I'd be more than greatfull.

I'm in this for the long haul and its not just a passing phase, something I've been contemplating for a while now and now find myself with the time to invest in it properly.

Just downloaded all the software and a few books, done a few vid tutorials and dont get me wrong copying the text into the editor is very simple, and getting the output required is satisfying, but me being me I need to know WHY!!

Why its written that way, Why I need to write it, and why didnt I do this alot more when I had the time and effort!!

yeah seen these tut's on ur sig on another thread and have been looking through.

couldnt do Java-terians, I'm a meat eater a Java-vore. I could go on but its getting beyond a Java-oke!!
