dunno about digifacewide font, but i'm sure a google search should show you what you want.

Of course this is all possible, Im not much of a swing or awt fan myself but it aint that hard creating a window/frame using Java.
The timer should be fairly simple as you can use the java.util.Timer to create your self a timer and assign a TimerTask to be run after the specified time.
Timer: Timer (Java 2 Platform SE 5.0)
TimerTask: TimerTask (Java 2 Platform SE 5.0)
There are other ways and means to do this as well, but I reckon this is a fairly simple example.
