    Default Getting started in AI.

As part of a project for the new year I decided to help keep my programing fresh and expand upon it by taking up two, year long projects, one of which being an AI. Problem is I have on idea where to get started with AI especially in java. Does anyone on the forum have any experience with anything similar that could help me/direct me to someplace that could help me.
Also a problem I seem to have is not being able to get organized and stick with projects, how do you guys get yourselves organized and focused in with your projects?
    Thank you in advance.

Sorry, I don't know anything about AI, but you could check out the online courses being offered by various universities. (Coursera etc) The discipline involved in following weekly lectures with problem sets etc might help provide focus. The focus is needed as you move into an area that involves some heavy duty maths.

Later this month, there is an AI class on Courseera. Along with that, there is a Game Playing Theory class in April. Both will help.

Do I have to watch those live or are they available to watch/re-watch afterwords

Edit: nvm I think I found my answer when I enrolled for an already taught course
