Search for any tutorial to install Netbeans on Linux OS. There should be instructions where you downloaded the Netbeans package. Come back when you've found that and still need help.
I have and either the directions aren't clear or the command codes aren't right

So you found a tutorial or specific steps to do the installation. Show what directions you're following - a link, if possible - describe which steps you've done, report results, etc. Without knowing the problem, there's not much we can do without sitting at your computer. You have to relay that experience to us.
