    Default Searching using a jtextfield


    code=Java
    I would like to search for a particular item such as an "apple" from table of fruits in the database and the results are populated either into a jframe table or a textArea! please help me!

    Welcome to the Forum! Please read this topic to learn how to post code correctly and other useful tips for newcomers.

    This is a common capability, requested frequently, but I've never seen a good example of it come through here. You may find an example on the web somewhere.

    The mechanics are fairly simple: Write a textfield listener that performs the search for the text entered into the textfield. You'll have to write the mechanics that perform the search and present the results.

    Maybe you'll post the first good example here. Good luck!
