    Default Java program to count External devices connected with the system. Eg. Pen drive

    Hi All I am Arindam, a very new member in this forum. I am trying to write a java program which can count current external USB/external devices connected with the system. I am not getting any idea which package or class will I use to write it. Please help me.

    Look here USB Detection (Threads forum at JavaRanch) . You may have to tweak it some and add the public static void main part in. It should give you something to go on.
