Default This code has a slight error

Hi guys sorry about the misleading title but noone answered my question in another section.

Basically I have an assignment on my college course that involves object orientated programming. One of the sections of the assignment requires me to explain the importance/benefits of using polymorphism, inheritance and encapsulation in OOP. Anything is appreciated even just brief points that i can expand on. Thanks in advance for any help given.
