Hi,
I want to create one scrolling desktop ticker in java.
I've some idea of java swing but not able to implement yet..
Can some one suggest some high level approach.

Can you describe what you are trying to do? For example: what is a desktop ticker? A clock display that goes tic tic tic tic?

it is something like one line (a label) being displayed on desktop with scrolling text ...may be something like desktop gadget (like in windows vista and windows 7). Or something like sticky note type.

What have you tried so far?
Build a top level container, add a JLabel and a timer that shifts the labels contents over time.
