    Default JavaFX 8 3D Graphics Location

    I have a brief question regarding 3D graphics in JavaFX 8. Is it possible to set the full x, y, and z location coordinates for a 3D object? There are methods such as: setLayoutX() and setLayoutY() for the x and y coordinates, but there doesn't appear to be a setLayoutZ() for the z coordinates. The solution I've been using so far is setting the translate variables for x, y, and z, but I would rather be setting their actual location variables. Does anyone know how to set that Z location coordinate?

    I'll preface this remark with the disclaimer that I haven't worked with Javafx/3d much, but I believe predefined objects (eg sphere, cyliner) must be transformed to the appropriate coordinates - unless you create the triangular mesh yourself in which case its location is defined by the actual coordinates specified.

    I think I found your answer, sir.

    call the setTranslateZ() method on that.

    For example,

    final Sphere earth = new Sphere(400);

    earth.setTranslateZ(100);

    That should work. Node class defines setTranslateZ().
