Default Page or panel with grid lines

    Hi
I would like to create a panel imitating an empty page with a grid. Then I want to put on this page elements like buttons, text fields etc by dragging them. After dropping the edges of the elements should automaticaly attach to the nearest lines. Is there a Java class that would help me to create this ?
    Please help.

Welcome to the forum! Please read this topic to learn how to post code in code or highlight tags and other useful info for newcomers.

The Internet has many basic to more advanced tutorials on dragging and dropping "things" into or on a container. Search for and start with the most basic and move on from there. Google is your friend, and come here when you have code and need help.

I know how to drag and drop items. All I need is a grid. And I can't find anythig about grid pulling the corners of the item to nearest lines.
(Sorry for bad english) All I see everywhere is griline layout and that's not what I want.
Is there a class helping to create a grid with this effect ?

Try searching 'java snap to grid'.
