    Default SwingWorker - max memory?

Do swing workers have a maximum alloted amount of memory? If so, how do I increase it?
I'm fairly certain they do, because when the program uses a raster 8x(1080p) the program runs fine. At around 9 or 10, when the manipulation starts, the program does nothing (seems like the swing worker is being terminated). This issue does not occur when this portion of the program is run outside of a swingworker (but it will certainly freeze the GUI).

Memory is managed by the JVM...to increase memory use the -Xms and -Xmx arguments. That being said, unless you are receiving OutOfMemoryError exceptions, this shouldn't be necessary.

    the program does nothing
Please define what you mean...are you sure it does nothing? Did you add println statements to see where/if the code hangs? Are you catching your exceptions?
