Re: array with ++ operator question

    I don't know, it's your code.

Have you tried printing out the values of the array? What are they? What are...

Re: array with ++ operator question

++ is simply the increment operator. A simpler example:

Sounds like a job for a while loop (or a do-while loop). Google and the tutorials are your friend.

It's hard to answer general "how do I do this" type questions other than by pointing you to google, which should be your first stop anyway. Technical forums are more for technical questions: "I tried...

Re: A question regarding Java DATE

Why don't you just modify your system time to reflect a change in daylight savings time and see what Java does?
  9. [SOLVED] Re: Getting a ton of (Unknown Source) errors

That variable declaration is inside the constructor. That means as soon as the constructor completes, that variable is no longer in scope and can't be accessed elsewhere in the code.

    You either...

Okay, and where did you define loggedU? When is it in scope? When does it go out of scope?
  11. [SOLVED] Re: Getting a ton of (Unknown Source) errors

And what line gives you the error?

Pass the window1 instance into the window2 constructor.
  14. [SOLVED] Re: Getting a ton of (Unknown Source) errors

    What's on line 11 of winow1 and line 25 of window1? Every time you create a window1, you create a window2. But every time you create a window2, you create a window1, which creates a window2, which...

Re: Processing 2 is confusing me!!!!

You can't just try random things and hope that they work. You have to understand what you're trying to do, and then you need to think logically about the code you need to write.

    The tutorials I...

Why on earth do you have a while(true) loop inside your keyPressed() method?

Did you read the tutorials I linked?

  22. Re: java program to execute an external application

Just because something is possible in C# does not mean it's possible in Java.

And it's **possible** in Java. It's just going to involve some native code.

You apparently have your own ideas...
  23. Re: java program to execute an external application

This isn't really a job for Java.

You might be able to hack it using the Robot class, but going the way you're thinking about is going to require native code.
