    Re: jButton1ActionPerformed Need Help

    Does that compile and execute? For a test program you only need one class with a main() method. All the other code is just in the way for a simple test.

    Re: jButton1ActionPerformed Need Help

    Please post the new code that shows what changes you have made.

    Another problem I see is that the main() method in post#29 is empty. There must be code there.

    Re: jButton1ActionPerformed Need Help

    That couldbe because the code is ignoring any errors it gets in the try{}catch block.
    There should be a call to the printStackTrace() method in the catch block:
    ex.printStackTrace();

    That will...

    Re: The Impossible Java Threading Problem!

    The only approach I can think of is to have your own versions of the classes that the jar file uses and make it use your versions instead of the java SE versions.

  16. Re: HOW DOES THIS PIECE OF CODE IN THIS SIMPLE SWING APPLICATION WORK?

    The best way to see is to write a small, simple program that uses your technique and see if it will compile and execute. See the examples in the tutorial.
  17. Re: HOW DOES THIS PIECE OF CODE IN THIS SIMPLE SWING APPLICATION WORK?

    That is explained with sample code at the link I posted in #4.
    new Runnable() creates an instance of an anonymous class.
  18. Re: HOW DOES THIS PIECE OF CODE IN THIS SIMPLE SWING APPLICATION WORK?
