I am a php dev, and became curious about java as a base for a web app. I would like to ask,
consider the same system requirements

1.) what does java based web app defer from let say php based web...

most of the things I read about jsp and servlets involves about jee, do I have to install java ee to use servlets and jsp or jse will do?
