Role Profile

The purpose of this role is to provide technical consultancy to projects and business areas, create designs for new and changed security solutions, develop and build Aviva JEE eSecurity applications, and support your team and the eSecurity platform in all environments. You will support and trouble shoot security application issues, as well as be involved in development of new applications based on customer requirements.

You will have the chance to develop leading edge federated identity and access management protocols such as SAML 2.0, OAuth and OpenID. You will be working closely with business customers, application developers, application solution designers and other Security consultants, changing and challenging developments in the Security architecture. You will also be working with other Aviva partners around infrastructure and networks.

Person Profile

You will have a technical interest in eCommerce security and ideally be educated to degree level preferably in IT. You will have experience of working with security applications and frameworks, You will ideally have some experience of Tivoli Identity and Access Management products: Tivoli Access Manager 6.1, Tivoli Identity Manager 5.1, Tivoli Directory Server and LDAP.

You will have a good blend of technical and business skills, and enjoy working in a small dedicated team on both a mixture of small and large scale deliveries. You will have experience of working in a customer focused environment, you will be delivery focused and have experience of working with third party suppliers and managing deployment processes.

You will have a good understanding of software engineering lifecycles and principles, and some experience of Java development, ideally with a WebSphere Application Server 6.1/ 7.0 background. You will have an aptitude towards problem solving, good consultancy skills, the ability to work to deadlines, and some experience of UNIX administration and Java/ JEE development – with Spring experience an advantage.

Salary
Base £21,100 to £43,100 depending on experience; plus Bonus potential, generous annual leave entitlement, competitive Pension and Flexible Benefit options.

This eCommerce Security Software Engineer position will be based in our Norwich office.
