    Job Description
    Greenwich, CT-based company is looking for full-time Senior Developer in Syracuse, NY office to manage the day-to-day operations of a proprietary live/on-demand streaming video service. You will be part of a forward-thinking team researching, enhancing, and developing new media technologies. Our company is committed to pushing the boundaries of proven technology in order to provide our viewers the best possible streaming experience available.

    Responsibilities Include:
    - Designs, implements, tests and supports web-based applications
    - Contributes to the review and analysis of company requirements
    - Analyze and improve web application performance and response time
    - Follow best practices for secure web development
    - Creative problem resolution and clear communication
    - Monitor streams to maintain the highest quality in coordination with full-time customer support staff

    Desired Qualifications:
    - BA/BS degree in Computer Science preferred with a strong academic record
    - Preferred minimum of 5 years of live streaming development and architecture
    - Extensive experience in live video streaming and optimizing for highest quality user experience
    - Extensive experience in PHP, ASP.net, MySQL, Javascript, HTML, VB.NET, AJAX, XML
    - Experience with CDNs such as Akamai, Limelight, Edgecast or Amazon EC2/S3 preferred
    - Experience with Wowza Streaming Media Server a bonus
    - Experience in developing and maintaining scalable web-based applications
    - Experience with building payment interfaces and payment gateways
    - Self-starter with the highest professional standards
