    Default Looking for tips

    Hi,
My name is Julian and my major is Computer Science. Just wondering if there any programming magazines or web site with news about programming? Or any type of resource to keep me update on the programming industries. Trying to get more involve in my major, but I need some guidance!
    Thanks!

    Hello TimoElPrimo.

There are lots and lots of programming websites with all the latest news and information.
What languages are you interested in or is it just programming in general?

If you want to read up on all the latest Java information, check out the Oracle website: Oracle and Java | Technologies

I been reading around about what a programmer should know and found tips about work experience.(no where near that point)
Most intresting topic I read was "You live or die by your text editor, so choose wisely".
I am currently using Netbeans. Is it good? or does it make me a weaker programmer? or should i get familiar with a different text editor?

Should I concentrate on one programming language? does it even matter?
