Default A refugee from Visual Studio ...

    Hello:

I'm just starting to learn Java ... and I'm really excited about it. I especially like its "Cross-platform" capabilities. To help me learn, I'm using NetBeans to write a little clipboard extender utility that I want to work on Windows, MacOS, Linux, FreeBSD, and Sun Server.

I used to do a lot of programming in Visual Studio 6 and sometimes PHP/MySQL, but I haven't done much of anything for more than 10 years.

I'm really happy to find an open source language that can write for multiple platforms.

Anyway ... I'll be posting a lot of newbie questions here ... so thanks in advance for helping and contributing to the community.

Thanks for your response, but I don't understand what you mean by that. VS6 was the last version of Visual Studio before they introduced dotNet.

That post was from a spammer. One of dozens that I have removed over the last few days.
