    Default Hello

Hi! My name is Matt, I am 26 years old, happily married with 3 kids, and have been working on computers professionally for about 5 years now. I have always been more into Network/Server Administration, but recently decided to actually go get a degree in Computer Science and dabbling in Java seemed like a decent place to start before I went back. A little about my technical background: I first got into computers in 2007 while working at Sears. Never went to college so instead I just went out learning on my own and studying certifications. Basically breaking stuff and fixing it. I currently hold an A+, Net+, Server+, Sec+, CCNA, CWNA, MCTS (Server 2k8), MCP (WinXp) and MCSA (Server2012) certifications. I am getting slightly bored of the Networking side of things so I wanted to kind of spice it up if you will. I have previous experience in HTML5, XHTML, CSS, C++ and VbScript, but Java just seemed to be pretty popular and fairly straight forward from what I have read/seen. I am currently reading Java for Dummies (please don't laugh lol) and watching Lynda.com videos to get a grasp on things. Anyway hello and I look forward to learning even more on these forums.
