    Default Introduction

I am Jeff and I have joined the forums today. I'm new to Java, but not new to programming as I have been programming since the days of Macro Assembler, PDP-11's and such. I was producing code using Pascal and Delphi, but when Windows 7 came around, my older Delphi compiler crocked and I wasn't spending $$$$$ to upgrade it. So I went over to .NET starting off with the Express editions of VB and C# and eventually upgrading to Visual Studio.

As users are migrating from Windows to Linux and Mac, I have found a need to start producing/proting software that is platform independent so I am moving over to Java.

On the professional side, I am retired from the Military having spent 25 years in Aviation, 10 of which was in a flying position. I am currently employed in the Flight Simulation field as a Qualification Coordinator for my company.

I will probably be looking for a little help as I am having a bit of a problem with JTable filtering.
