    Default installation procedure for java 1.6 latest version on xp

    Hai

    I have downloaded the java software from the web i.e. java 1.6 and hav got the exe file
    i have runned the file

    now i tried to create a java file and runned it but it was throwing error some class path is missing
    when i enquired with my pal he said that we have to set the class path

    can any body help me out in installing the java and setting the class path and help to run a small java program

    please provide me the perfect installation steps and how to run the java program

    screen shots of installation are procedure are also welcomed
