Default Is it possible to package Java

First time posting to this forum, and I thought I'd see if anyone could answer a question for me. Not sure what location to put this question, so I apologize if I picked the wrong place to put it.

Can I specify a specific jre to use when I'm using the command "java"?

    i.e.

    If I have Foo.class can I specify java Foo -? [ pathnameToJre? ]

    Thanks any help or insights.

    Tim

You can specify the full path to the Java executable you wish to invoke. Depending on your CLASSPATH environment setting you may need the -cp (or -classpath) flag to ensure use of the desired rt.jar.
