Default java Metrics tool used in 1999 or 2000

    Hello All,
I would like to know if in the years 1999 and 2000 there were ways to make the software tracking quality for java programming. In this case, what was the method used and the software in unix environment?

Thanks in advance for your kind support.

    Regards,

    Giovanni

Welcome to the forum! Please read this topic to learn how to post code in code or highlight tags and other useful info for new members.

It will be easiest to find an answer to this question in a textbook on software quality tools and their history, probably focusing on the environments (like Unix) rather than the programming language, since Java was in its infancy at that time. You may get lucky with clever Googling and review of the resulting Wikipedia articles.

    Good luck on your quest!
