    Default Mastering this field

I want to be good at programming. Not just java but other languages. The concepts of java arent hard to learn however my problem has always been where to start probpem solving especially when the computer problem has a lot of steps. Do i need to improve my logic, algorithm writing problem solving ability. Any android apps out there to help. Agsin this is not java or a specific problem this is just a general feel for programming.

    --- Update ---

I found applying the concepts to a computer problem very hard. In three exams i totally blanked out when i was given 90 minutes to code. However when i wrote 3 class projects i aced those even though it took me 2 days to write it.

    --- Update ---

My goal is to earn a six figure salary in 3-5 yrs and be really good. what do i do to excel in this field.

There's no magic and no app to make you a better programmer. What will make you a better programmer is to do more programming. Practice, practice, practice.

Dont expect a magic solution nor a quick fix. I expect to work hard towards those goals i was just asing what other ways to get better. I understand just getting in there and doing it.

I think you know the answer then. "Doing it" is a lot easier when "it" is something that interests and excites you, but sometimes the "it" is just not that exciting and you have to grind through it anyway. During those times, remember your goals and know that the effort is for a good cause. Build a solid foundation of basic programming knowledge and skills and from that will come the confidence to build advanced skills that will lead to success. Sounds a bit trite and idealistic, but it works.
