First, spelling is nice to know. And second, just find something you like to do in java. Figure out the way you learn. I love making small games, that's pretty much how I learned java. I'm self taught so I'm definitely not the best when it comes to knowing all the super technical stuff, but I'm proud that I've taught myself a language. if you like hands on, try taking a break from learning and make a small program. It doesn't matter what it is, as long as you work on it. You'll most likely learn lots along the way.

    1) Yes sometimes it can be difficult since its your first language, but let me tell you that when you learn some advance concepts and you are in a state to develop your OWN software. no matter even if small, you would be proud of yourself.

    2) Once you are done with Java, other languages like C++, c# etc won't take much time. Its just the start you need. So be focused.

    3) I don't know which book you are referring, but since you are feeling boring you can try Head First Java book. The Head First Series is made in a unique way rather than the ordinary books. But there are some people who don't like them, but personally i and many people like them. Atleast you can give them a try, these books are made in a unique way. The authors of Head First Java book are too superb.

    4) 2 months are sufficient to atleast have a good grab of Core Java. Try its possible.
