    Angry Java Logic

    We want to make a row of bricks that is goal inches long. We have a number of small bricks (1 inch each) and big bricks (5 inches each). Return true if it is possible to make the goal by choosing from the given bricks. This is a little harder than it looks and can be done without any loops.

    I'm not sure how this could be done using simple logic and no loops. Please explain

    If you read it closely, there is enough information given to solve the problem.

    ive gotten this far
    public boolean makeBricks(int small, int big, int goal) {
      if ((big & small)> 0){
        if (goal%(big*5)<=small){
          return true;
        }else{
          return false;
        }
      }
      return false;

     }

    Please see the announcements page for the use of code tags as well as other useful forum tips.

    Include your test set, and show which values pass and which values failed.
    We will use the test values to troubleshoot the code.
