    Hi all,

    I just switched my major to Information & Computer Science, so I'm completely new to Java and find programming very difficult. My final is coming up and I was wondering if any of you guys could help me answer some questions. Our professor provided us a sample final but I find it very hard to find the right answers.

    Do you have a textbook? and notes?

    I ask because the intent of the questions is to get you familiar with the content of the various resources you have, rather than merely have you assemble a list of "the right answers". Your textbooks and notes are the places to start. If you have what you think is an answer to a particular question but aren't sure, you have something specific to ask (what you have found and what you *think* it means). If you have found something that looks like it applies but which makes little or no sense, again you have something specific to ask about that others can comment on.

    Such an approach would also work around what I suspect may prove another problem. For someone learning the language finding the right (and coherent, and reliable) answers may be difficult. But for those who already know the answers working through such a long list will certainly be tedious. I could be wrong and some eager soul will work through your questions for you, one by one, but, in the event that I'm not, consider working with the resources you have and asking the questions they raise.
