    Default Cloud Computing

    Hello buddies, am tryin to design an application that can host files. upload and download files of at least 20mb. Is it possible with Java? Any useful ideas! Thanks.

    An application doesn't host files. It can serve as an interface to a host (a webserver, a database, whatever), but it doesn't really make sense to say that an application is hosting files. Step one is figuring out what your actual host is, then you can work on the interface to that host.

    Please see the link in my signature on asking questions the smart way, especially the bit about using proper spelling and grammar. Many of our members don't speak English as a first language, so your abbreviations can be confusing. Plus it comes off as lazy when you're on a technical forum.

    There are plenty of ways to connect to a database from Java. I'd start with a google search and this tutorial: Lesson: JDBC Basics (The Java™ Tutorials > JDBC(TM) Database Access). You also might want to look into Hibernate.
