    If you’re coming from a traditional programming background like C or C++, you’ll find Java syntax quite similar. If you’re not, then take comfort in knowing that you’ve chosen one of the easiest languages to learn. You’ll be up and running in no time at all.

    because of this forum is java , YES! you will be using java for back-end development while GUI you will be used XML. and the Best tool for develop android application i would suggest to use ANDROID STUDIO Latest Release! GLHF! with Java..

    the other's thing you should consider is learning SQL as you want to save your data into a secure place! for mobile i would suggest SQL LITE!

    Yes, Java is enough to learn android app development, you start from basic and if you dont have knowledge about programming then it is would be a little difficult to understand but if you a basic knowledge of JAVA, XML, C++, CSS, HTML and ruby.
