I have recently decided to start a blog over to Blogger.

There are a few reasons for this:

1. I'm interested in many things other than just Java (and even programming), I figured it would make sense to create a blog where I could focus on these aspects.

2. Blogger allows me to use raw Javascript/HTML/etc. in my posts. This allows me to put advanced features into my pages/posts (for example collapsing menus). It also motivates me to learn client-side web development, which is a much more useful skill compared to BBCode.

I hope I can update my blog more frequently than I have in the past, but I don't have any planned release schedule right now. My end goal is to host a dedicated website which I can use to put content, but at this time I'm not ready to commit the time or financial resources of maintaining a website.

I'll still stick around here and continue to be involved with the forum part of this site, and I'll leave all past blog posts available here. At this time I'm not sure if I will keep future Java-related posts here or not. I'm leaning towards no because I don't want to maintain multiple blogs, especially given the low time commitment I already have here.

I've investigated a bit into using Wordpress but at this time it looks like Blogger would better meet my needs. This is all highly experimental, so it's subject to change at any time.
