Can anybody guide me how to write a program to simulate the online-shopping using java

Do you mean one that runs from a server and can be accessed via html (like ebay)? Or just a stand-alone java program?

I wouldn't of thought Java was the best language for this?! Any reason why you wish to use Java?

I'm currently working on an e-commerce solution, trying to hook it up to google checkout at the moment :D

I agree with JavaPF. There are better language to use though if you want Java we are here to help. :D Why not try php?

Something like this would take time and effort to code. I suggest a Google search for already written source code..

Java is a bad language to write this in.
Well not bad, but like everyone said, there is a better language.

I disagree, Java is an excellent language and you can do a wide range of things with it. You just need to find out how.
