I personally think you need to give more of a description about your website.
On the actual landing page, some kind of text explaining about the site will increase your chances of sign ups.
Good luck with your site.
And if you decide to get rid of that login-form , let us now, and we'll check out your website, and maybe come up with some feedbacks :P
